Democracy Month

September is an important month for democracy.

September 15 is the International Day of Democracy - a day designated by the United Nations to celebrate/emphasise the importance of democratic systems of government.

September 15 is also the Independence Day of 5 Central American republics.

The collective Latin American community is recognised as the eight largest foreign born community in London - one that makes a significant contribution to the life of the capital.
